Imagine you are playing a video or listening to an audio file with Media Player Classic or VLC. You want to save the current media time, but not interrupt your viewing/listening by switching to another window or by canceling the full-screen mode.

With Timestamp Saver you just have to press a key and it will save it in a list you can inspect later. If you pause or stop the media file with your keyboard, the time counting will follow the command as well. The same is true when seeking.

You can add other players and edit the key combinations you want to use.

Uses one could think of are: Save times of contexts you want to view/hear again later to think of it in more detail; save positions at which a subtitle file has to be corrected.
