This release fixes a potential buffer overflow in
the select loop on some platforms. The Brazilian
Portuguese localization was added.

Support for large (greater than 4GB) log files was
added. Binaries linking was modified to run
properly on Windows 9x/2000.

This release fixes a bug that prevented tcpreen from accepting more than one connection on Microsoft Windows.

This release include support for IPv6 on Windows, a compile fix for BSD, and some minor bugfixes.

This release includes a "password capture" logging format, Unix sockets support, preforking when running in the background, clean signal handling, and minor I/O multiplexing bugs. It fixes a major password capture related bug from 1.3.7, and provides support for HTTP basic authentication.

Project Description

TCP Re-engineering Tool monitors and analyzes data transmitted between a client and a server via a TCP connection. It focuses on the data stream (software layer), not on the lower level transmission protocol (as packet sniffers do).
