Project Release Information2002-02-28 22:54 There is a bug in mod_perl and glibc2.2 where readdir() does not work correctly, causing the skin selection to fail. This release has switched to glob() as a workaround. 2002-02-24 11:06 Minor table changes, a rename of Gedcom files, and a fix for the download bug encountered when using modperl and IE were added. The administration area code was cleaned up. 2002-02-20 23:09 This release adds the ability to create different skins and then choose them from the admin area to change the look of the entire site. Indexes have been added to the MySQL tables for a nice speed improvement. There are minor bugfixes. 2002-02-18 23:47 A new ability to do simple editing of Individuals on the live site, more bugfixes to charts, and a fix for a bug in the Gedcom import tool. 2002-02-13 09:17 Minor bug fixes for mod_perl to work correctly. All mod_perl issues should thus be resolved with this release. Project ResourcesProject Description Web Gedcom Viewer is a full Web-based Gedcom viewer that uses MySQL or SQLite on the backend and Perl as the frontend with templates for easy HTML manipulation. Gedcom files are in the standard format exported by family tree/genealogy applications such as Family Tree Maker or Personal Ancestory File. Plugging in different SQL types is a breeze, as all of the SQL statements are centralized to a single pm. |  |
