Project Release Information2007-01-25 19:05 This release includes updated drivers based on the latest development version of NetBSD, a complete overhaul of the build system to remove the 2.88MB size limit, and availability of contracts for technical support over the previous release. 2006-05-31 06:43 The most important changes in this release lie in an improved infrastructure that allow more flexibility, removing the 2.88MB limit that g4u previously had. Many new device drivers were added. 2006-04-07 10:09 The most imortant changes are not user-visible, but are in the build process. As a result of this, the 2.88MB size restriction is gone and now only the machine's RAM is the limit, allowing a lot of drivers to be added again. 2005-06-22 07:45 Serial drivers were added again for those people that need serial console. Support for IT Express and ATI IXP IDE and Promise SATA150 controllers was added. Many bugfixes and enhancements were taken from NetBSD-current, including EHCI-based USB improvements. "dmesg" now hints at pressing space/CR to scroll down. 2004-12-08 04:39 There are now two versions, a CDROM version (which can also be used on DVD), and a two-floppy version. This allows all the drivers that had to be removed in the past to be added back again: USB keyboards, SATA drives, hardware RAID controllers, PCMCIA and Cardbus drivers, Wireless LAN, Fiber Channel for your SAN, Token Ring, and others. Anther important change is a new "copypart" program to copy local partitions. Project ResourcesProject Description g4u ("ghost for unix") is a boot-floppy/CD that |
